What the PostHog integration does

Salesfinity's PostHog integration lets the AI Companion query your PostHog project and return answers about events, insights, feature flags, and person profiles. Connected through Composio at the assistant level, it runs a query only in response to a question you ask in the chat. It reports on your own product analytics; Salesfinity's dialing metrics are separate and come from Salesfinity's built-in call analytics and AI call scoring.

Common use cases

Qualifying inbound signups before dialing them

Signups arrive faster than a rep can call them. Ask the Companion which of those users actually completed setup in PostHog, and the dialing order stops being chronological and starts being based on intent.

Checking feature flag exposure before a positioning call

A prospect asks about a capability that is behind a flag. Ask the Companion whether that flag is enabled for their organization, and the rep can say plainly whether the account can already use it rather than guessing.

How to connect PostHog to Salesfinity

1. In Salesfinity, open Settings → Integrations.

2. Choose PostHog from the Composio-connected apps.

3. Paste a PostHog personal API key and specify your project and instance host.

4. Save and confirm the connection shows as active.

5. Ask the AI Companion to list your PostHog projects to verify the key works.

Frequently asked questions

Does PostHog show my Salesfinity call activity?

No. Salesfinity does not send call events into PostHog. Connect rates, dispositions, talk time, and call scoring live in Salesfinity's own analytics and the Companion answers those from there.

Does the PostHog integration sync contacts into Salesfinity?

No. It does not import person profiles as contacts or create calling lists. Use a native CRM integration, a CSV import, or List Builder to get contacts into the dialer.

Does it work with a self-hosted PostHog instance?

It can, provided you supply the correct instance host during setup and the instance is reachable. PostHog Cloud is the common case, and both use a personal API key.

Can the Companion change feature flags?

Any change to a flag is a write action and requires your explicit approval first. Most teams use this connection for reading flag state rather than modifying it.
