Local numbers, automatically. Introducing Country Code Matching.

Salesfinity now auto-matches local numbers to every prospect's country. Dial UK with a UK number, Germany with a German number. 2-4x more connects, zero manual work.

If you've ever run outbound into Europe, you already know the problem.

You've built a clean list. Your messaging is tight. Your reps are ready. And then you start dialing — and watch your connect rate collapse the moment you cross a border. A UK SDR calling into Germany with a +44 number gets maybe 4% pickup. A French prospect sees an unrecognized international code and sends it straight to voicemail. By Friday, your pipeline from Tuesday's German blitz is half of what it should have been, and you can't figure out whether the issue was the list, the script, or something else entirely.

It was something else entirely. It was the country code.

Why local numbers matter more than almost anything else

Nobody picks up an international number from a stranger. Not in the UK, not in Germany, not in the US, not anywhere. The unconscious filter is universal: if the incoming call isn't from a number that looks like one of your friends or colleagues could have dialed it, you ignore it.

The data backs this up. Across hundreds of Salesfinity customers running multi-country outbound, we consistently see that local numbers get picked up 2 to 4 times more often than international ones. A German prospect dialed from a +49 number picks up roughly 14% of the time. The same prospect dialed from a +44 number picks up about 4%. That gap isn't incremental — it's the difference between a productive dialing session and a dead one.

For teams running any kind of European or APAC motion, this single factor has an outsized effect on pipeline. More connects means more conversations. More conversations means more qualified meetings. More meetings means more pipeline. The entire outbound funnel starts with the moment someone decides whether to pick up, and that decision is heavily influenced by one thing: the country code on their screen.

Why this has always been painful to solve

Most dialers give you a blunt tool: you pick one number, and that number gets used for every call in the session. If your list has prospects in the UK, Germany, Spain, France, and Italy, you're either (a) switching numbers manually between segments of your list, (b) running five separate campaigns, one per country, or (c) accepting that most of your prospects will get called from the wrong country code.

Option A is slow and error-prone. Reps forget to switch. Lists get fragmented. A single missed toggle can mean an entire hour of dialing with the wrong number.

Option B is operationally expensive. Running five separate campaigns means five lists, five schedules, five sets of follow-up logic. For teams without dedicated ops support, it's unworkable.

Option C is the most common — and the most costly. Teams just accept the lower connect rate because the alternative is too much manual work. But "just accepting it" means leaving 60-70% of your potential connects on the table. On a list of 500 European prospects, that's the difference between 50 conversations and 150.

None of these options are acceptable when you're trying to hit pipeline targets.

What Country Code Matching does

Salesfinity now automatically detects the country code of every prospect's phone number and routes the call through a matching local number from your pool — without any manual setup, toggling, or list segmentation.

The workflow is simple. You load a list with prospects from anywhere in the world. Salesfinity reads each number, identifies the country code, and pairs it with an available number in your account from that same country. A UK prospect gets dialed from your UK number. A German prospect gets dialed from your German number. A Spanish prospect gets dialed from your Spanish number. Your rep just presses dial and keeps the cadence going.

Every call lands as a local call. Every connect rate goes up. Every conversation happens faster.

Zero manual work. Zero setup overhead.

The thing that matters most about this feature isn't that it exists — other tools have attempted versions of it. The thing that matters is that it's automatic. There's no list segmentation. No manual rotation. No campaign splitting. No ops work. You turn the feature on once and it works on every dial, in every campaign, forever.

For sales leaders, this is the difference between a feature that looks good in a demo and a feature that actually moves your numbers. Manual features don't get used. Reps forget. Ops falls behind. Lists get messy. The only features that reliably lift outbound performance across an entire team are the ones that work without anyone having to remember they exist. Country Code Matching is that kind of feature.

How it works with SmartRotate

If you're already using SmartRotate — our feature that cycles through multiple numbers within a single country to protect your caller reputation — Country Code Matching layers on top of it. Country Code Matching picks the right country first; SmartRotate cycles through the available numbers within that country. The two features are designed to work together so you get both local-number matching and healthy number hygiene at the same time.

If you're not using SmartRotate yet and you're running any volume of outbound dials, it's worth turning on. Combined with Country Code Matching, it gives you the tightest possible pickup rates across any geography.

How to turn it on

Go to Dialer Preferences in your Salesfinity dashboard. Find the Country Matching section. Flip the toggle. That's the entire setup.

From that moment forward, every dial Salesfinity makes will automatically use a local number when one is available in your pool. If you haven't yet added numbers for a particular country, those dials will fall back to your default number and Salesfinity will flag the gap in your dashboard so you know where to expand your coverage.

To add numbers for new countries, go to Manage Numbers and provision them directly from the interface. Most countries provision in under five minutes, and you can add as many as you need across as many countries as your campaigns require.

What to do next

If you're running outbound into any multi-country market — Europe, APAC, LATAM, or mixed US/international — turn Country Code Matching on today. You'll see the lift in your connect rates within the first session.

If you're only running US outbound right now, you don't need this feature yet. But if expanding internationally is anywhere on your 2026 roadmap, this removes one of the biggest operational barriers to doing it. The feature is already there when you're ready.

For teams already running European outbound at scale, this is one of the highest-leverage changes you can make to your dialing workflow this quarter. Most of our beta customers saw their overall connect rate climb within the first week of enabling it — not because their list got better, or their reps got better, but because every call finally landed the way it was supposed to.

Happy dialing.

Frequently asked questions

Why are my European outbound connect rates so low?

European prospects are significantly less likely to answer calls from international numbers. If you're dialing into Germany from a UK number, Spain from a US number, or France from any non-local code, you can expect your pickup rate to drop by 60-75% compared to calling with a local number. This is the single biggest factor affecting multi-country outbound performance — more than list quality, cadence, or script.

How much does a local phone number actually improve pickup rates?

Local numbers get picked up 2 to 4 times more often than international numbers, across almost every major outbound market. In European data specifically, local-number dials see connect rates around 12-15%, while international-number dials into the same prospects see connect rates around 3-5%. The gap is large enough that for teams running multi-country campaigns, local-number matching has a bigger effect on pipeline than any other single optimization.

What is country code matching?

Country code matching is a feature in modern sales dialers that automatically detects the country code of each prospect's phone number and routes the outbound call through a local number from that same country. Instead of dialing every prospect with one default number, the dialer pairs each call with a matching regional number — so a German prospect gets called from a German number, a UK prospect from a UK number, and so on. The feature runs automatically on every dial with no manual switching.

How does Salesfinity's country code matching work?

Salesfinity automatically reads the country code of every phone number in your list and routes the call through a matching local number from your number pool. You load a list with prospects from anywhere in the world, and Salesfinity handles the country pairing in real time on every dial. There's no list segmentation, no manual number switching, and no campaign splitting required. You turn the feature on once in Dialer Preferences and it works on every call after that.

Do I need to buy separate numbers for every country I want to dial into?

Yes — to dial a country as a local call, you need at least one phone number registered in that country. Salesfinity lets you provision numbers for new countries directly in the Manage Numbers section of your dashboard, and most countries provision in under five minutes. If you dial into a country where you don't yet have a local number, Salesfinity falls back to your default number and flags the gap so you know where to expand your coverage next.

Can I use country code matching with power dialing or parallel dialing?

Yes. Country code matching works on top of every dialing mode Salesfinity supports, including power dialing and parallel dialing. The country-pairing logic runs on each individual dial regardless of how many calls are happening at once, so even if you're running multiple parallel sessions into different countries, each call still goes out from the correct local number.

Does country code matching work with SmartRotate?

Yes. Country code matching and SmartRotate are designed to work together. Country code matching picks the correct country first, and SmartRotate then cycles through the available numbers within that country to protect your caller reputation and avoid number burnout. Using both features together gives you the highest possible pickup rates while maintaining healthy number hygiene across your entire dialing pool.

What countries does Salesfinity support for local number matching?

Salesfinity supports local number provisioning and country code matching across all major outbound markets, including the US, UK, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Ireland, Australia, Singapore, Canada, and most of Western Europe. New countries are added regularly based on customer demand. If you need a specific country that isn't currently available, you can request it through your Salesfinity customer success manager.

Is country code matching available on all Salesfinity plans?

Country code matching is included in all Salesfinity accounts at no additional cost. The only variable cost is the local phone numbers themselves, which are billed per number per month based on standard telecom pricing for each country. There's no extra charge for enabling or using the country matching feature itself.

How do I turn on country code matching in Salesfinity?

Go to Dialer Preferences in your Salesfinity dashboard, find the Country Matching section, and toggle it on. That's the entire setup. From that moment forward, every dial Salesfinity makes will automatically use a local number when one is available in your number pool. No list re-uploading, no campaign reconfiguration, and no per-campaign settings required.
