The company

NewsCatcher is a news intelligence company. Outbound is a core motion for the SDR team, with the job being very clear: high daily activity, high weekly volume, and consistent meeting output.

We spoke with Felipe Perez, SDR at NewsCatcher, about how Salesfinity transformed the way he runs outbound, making it possible to move faster, stay organized across multiple lists, and still have time for personalization.

“My whole job is to smash the telephone every single day and book as many meetings as I can.”

The challenge

Before Salesfinity, Felipe’s outbound stack was a mix of tools that created friction, slowed execution, and made it hard to run clean cadences. He described previous dialers as complex, rigid, and time-consuming, especially when trying to integrate lists from tools like Apollo or AmpleMarket and sync everything back into Salesforce.

“It was very complex… you had to do call one by one, list by list, click go and the call would start… it was really complicated to integrate it with another tool… and Salesforce being a little bit rigid, it’s just very messy.”

That friction directly capped daily output. What should have been quick activity became hours of grind.

“My daily goal back then was like 80 calls a day… back then it was taking me more than five to six hours of calling… it was quite archaic… extremely time consuming, it made no sense.”

On top of that, the lack of flexibility in list filtering and segmentation made it too easy to mix the wrong contacts with the wrong messaging.

“You weren’t able to filter lists, you weren’t able to filter based on time zone, you weren’t able to silo different types of contacts… you have one pitch for CEOs and another one for COOs, and things were getting dicey because you’re going to say one thing but it’s for another person.”

The solution

Salesfinity changed the structure of Felipe’s day by making high-volume calling easier to execute while keeping context switching manageable across lists, industries, events, and personas.

“Because I have multiple lists… events we attended, people I haven’t talked to at all… with the parallel calling feature I was able to go through every single list fast in one sitting… get calls done, do operational work, then go to the next one.”

A key difference was control. Felipe could adjust speed based on what he needed to accomplish that day, switching between five, three, or two lines depending on how much attention he wanted to allocate to other tasks alongside dialing.

“Sometimes I didn’t want to go so fast… it was pretty cool that I was able to switch between five calls versus three versus two, and gauge results based on how many calls at one time I was making.”

This unlocked a surprising outcome: more effectiveness with less time stuck on the phone.

“Now I’m able to spend less time on the phone and focus on other things… LinkedIn takes time, it’s really complicated to automate… but now I can free time for that because Salesfinity is effective.”

The impact

The shift from slow, manual dialing to parallel calling translated into a step-change in activity and meeting output. Felipe went from a world where “two meetings a week was a miracle” to consistent daily meeting booking, supported by significantly higher weekly call volume.

“At my previous company… getting two meetings a week was sort of a miracle… here I’m able to book on a regular basis one booked per day, sometimes more… and I’m making maybe 800 to a thousand calls a week.”

He also noted seasonality, but even with slow months like December and January, the combination of higher call volume and regained time for supporting activities helped him hit goal.

“December and January are typically the worst months… but when you total everything in a week or a month, I’m hitting goal thanks to the tool.”

Why Salesfinity

For Felipe, the core value starts with parallel dialing, but it goes beyond volume. The ability to personalize at speed depends on having context instantly available at connect, and that’s where Salesfinity’s real-time intel features matter.

“Parallel calling is absolutely incredible… but Smart Genie is one of the things I use a lot: I can see a small summary of the company and the person as soon as they pick up… I need to tailor the script, and the best way is understanding what the company does and what the person does, while I’m talking to them.”

AI call summaries also removed the need to manually log every call outcome, keeping momentum high.

“AI call summarization… I can click one button and forget about it… if I have to go back, I just read the summary… before I had to manually finish the call and write what we talked about, here it’s like, okay, next.”

Who it’s for

Felipe sees Salesfinity as a strong fit for any role that needs high-volume conversations, especially SDRs and AEs, but also teams outside pure prospecting like customer service.

“Anybody who has to do a fair amount of calls per day or week… SDRs, account executives, but also customer service… if you need to reach out to customers to book meetings, review products, or do a catch up, you can call everybody in one sitting.”

What to say to someone on the fence

Felipe’s recommendation is simple: try it. If it’s not a fit, move on. But if you’re avoiding the phone because you think it doesn’t work, he’s direct about that being a mistake.

“You don’t lose nothing by trying it maybe for a week… no harm trying something new… and if you don’t like it, fair enough.”“Pick up the phone. People are bombarded with emails and LinkedIn… a lot of people say telephone doesn’t work, which is false. Like 90% of my meetings come from the telephone.”

In one sentence

“The tool that makes your life easier.”
